Las Culturistas Guest List Pitch, Honey!

Ding Dong! Self-identified reader/publicist calling! This is a letter ONLY for Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang!.. And fellow readers of the pod, OF COURSE! (The girls that get it, GET IT. The girls that don’t, don’t.) But for those who are curious… let me put you on something! Las Culturistas is a podcast hosted by two best friends: Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang. Every Wednesday, they talk about pop culture and their thoughts and opinions on anything and everything. Some weeks, they will have guests who are close friends to the pod and true icons to the entertainment business. I’m not doing the podcast justice with my description, but just do yourself a favor and take a listen. I genuinely love this podcast more than most things and often find myself listening to old episodes because I miss Matt and Bowen. I’ve noticed they have formed a part of my personality, and I’m not mad about it. Because this podcast takes up about 85% of my daily thoughts, I thought I would put it to use and put together a list of potential guests I would love to see on Las Culturistas.

Matt and Bowen, consider this my pitch.

Geraldine Viswanathan:

Geraldine is not talked about enough! She has put in the WORK and more people need to realize how amazing and talented she is! Her being on Las Culturistas would just be a fun time, and I’m always down for a fun time.

Ali Wong:

I dare you to tell me this wouldn’t be legendary! Her Netflix specials are my comfort watches, and I would just love to hear her talk more about her career and everything she has been a part of. I also know she’s on tour right now, but if anyone can make it happen… it’s you guys I’m BEGGING.

Beanie Feldstein:

I’ve been waiting for this one… How should I address her? Miss Monica Lewinsky in American Crime Story: Impeachment? Julie from Lady Bird? Molly from Booksmart? Fanny Brice in the upcoming REVIVAL of Funny Girl? Beanie has me in a severe chokehold where I simply must watch everything she is in.

Rachel Zegler:

Now Matt and Bowen, you’ve already mentioned this one on the pod, but I don’t think you realize how much I need this to happen! Rachel is a STAR and I just know that it would be the best time!

Jenny Slate:

I’m dying to know what is the culture that made Jenny Slate say culture was for her and you’re the only ones who can find this out for me! Jenny Slate has been in the game for far too long and has been a part of the culture for so long this would be iconic.

Katya Zamolodchikova:

PLEASE! I already know the abs I would get from this episode because I would be laughing so hard at the content Katya being on the pod would provide.

Natasha Rothwell:

Insecure? White Lotus? These are culture! Natasha just seems like the perfect Las Cultch guest. She would bring laughs and thought provoking conversation! I would tune in and smile the whole time.

Hailee Steinfeld:

SPEAKING OF HALIEE STEINFELD… Okay hear me out! I realize you have a past with her but the girls are really girling for her right now! I mean Dickinson? Hawkeye? She has single handedly united the literature queens and the Marvel girls and THAT is power!

Andy Samberg:

Listen… this has been mentioned on the pod before, but 2022 is the year! Get Andy Samberg on Las Culturistas! (please) Oof please I’m so starved for Andy Samberg content that I’m tempted to go see the new Hotel Transylvania...
